2024

performance with plants, ink paintings and woollen knitwork followed by 16mm film developed with plants, audio by KRANKLAND (Thomas Werbrouck)

lovegarden is a continuation of the garden projects exploring weeds as a resistance to our capitalist society in three themes: play, love and time. This performance focusses on plants which were commonly used in love potions: Daisy (Bellis perennis), Saint-John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum), Vervaine (Verbena officinalis), Thyme (Thymus serpyllum) and Forget-me-not (Myosotis). Rituals associated with these plants are performed followed by a 16mm film which is developed with this love potion.

This performance was developed during a residency at De Brakke Grond and the InnerEScape project by KNEPH.
